The OASIS EI Member Section works to:

Identify and discuss interoperability issues; work with the OASIS Emergency Management Technical Committee to ensure these issues are addressed. Target issues include:
-telematics (crash data)
-computer-aided dispatch
-consequence management
-situational awareness models

Identify areas where new standards are needed in order to enable complete solutions. Encourage formation of new TCs or Subcommittees to advance this work.

Encourage national and local government agencies to support and advocate the use of emergency standards as a means to enable innovation, freedom of choice, and open access to information.
Address global interoperability issues for emergency standards.

Drive demand for standards-compliant products/services through education; identify markets that use the data generated by emergency standards.
