'09 - Booth
#102
The OASIS open standards consortium
invites you to attend the EDXL Standards Interop Demo at IAEM's EMEX exhibition,
2-4 Nov, in Orlando. An unprecedented group of ten
vendors and government agencies will work together to demonstrate the OASIS
Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) and the Emergency Data Exchange Language (EDXL)
standards in a real-world scenario. Simulating an incident defined by FEMA and
NOAA, the demo will show how authorities, responders, broadcasters, and other
services providers can use CAP 1.2, the IPAWS Profile, EDXL-DE, EDXL-RM and
EDXL-HAVE to enact a concerted, coordinated emergency
response.
Interop participants include
Desktop Alert, Warning Systems Inc (WSI), Alerting Solutions, CellCast
Technologies, Evolution Technologies, MyStateUSA, Protexx (a Wide Point
Company), Safe Environment Engineering, U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency
(FEMA) & DHS Science and Technology, U.S. NOAA National Weather
Service.
**Please also stop by the special
interop presentation on Tuesday from 10:40-11:00 AM in the EMEX vendor theater
(at the back of the exhibit hall).**
